Halloween Quilt

I started this quilt six years ago. Six years ago I made all the squares, but it wasn't until this year that I actually pieced the quilt together. I don't know why it took me so long to finish, it may have something to do with the two little boys in my life. Anyway it's done and I love it.

Here is a close up on the squares. I found this pattern years ago and thought it was such a wacky project. It was actually my DH's idea that it would be the perfect pattern for a Halloween quilt.

I love all the material that I used and I have enough for one extra project. I just can't decide if I want to make a table runner or a fabric penndant for the fireplace.

The other cool thing is that one night after turning out the lights I noticed that the candy corn fabric glows in the dark. I was so surprised. Then again . . . I guess I am allowed to forget some things after six years.

Finishing the binding was my goal last week in Amy's Creative Side-One Thing One Week Challenge.

Very cool, and don't worry, I've had projects in the works for longer periods of time. My niece's baby quilt comes to mind. She is now 13yo:0

Congrats on your finish! That's everything a quilt should be, imo--bright, colorful, and fun!
