I wanted the boys to understand how truly blessed they are, so I made these thanks giving boards. The tree and leaves printouts came from Chocolate on My Cranium. She prints these out for each of her children. Since my kids are really young, I thought we would have family trees.
I got the cookie sheets from the dollar store. Then I spray painted them with brown spray paint. I used mod podge and scrapbooking paper to framed the tree. Then I sprayed the whole thing again with clear spray paint.
Then each day the kids get to add leaves(which are magnets) to the trees. On the "Thanks" tree- they add leaves for different items that they are thankful for. And on the "Giving" tree they add leaves for the different acts of service they give.
All the extra leaves are on the other side of the cookie sheet for storage. The one thing I have left to do is drill two holes and hang ribbon on them, so that can be hung on the walls.
I also made this turkey hair pins. I saw the idea on Nancy's Couture and thought it was so cute. I ended up making four. (one of me and one for each of my three nieces)
Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

Subway Art- Vinyl for sale
This is the Christmas Subway Art that we made for craft club. When we decided to do a vinyl project I contacted Tammy Pitts. She was so nice to cut these out for us. We just told her the words and that we wanted a silhouette of the manger to be included. And this is what she came up with. It's is so beautiful.
Well after having people from different states ask if they could get one as well, Tammy has decide to make them available to general public for $13 dollars each. If you are interested in this please contact Tammy Pitts at: pittsahoy@yahoo.com

Robot
Son #1 has known that for Halloween he wanted to be a robot for several month now. Each time we would go to the store, he would remind us that we need to buy items for his robot costume.
There is a Curious George episode where George dressed up like a robot XF-17. So Son #1 also wanted to label his robot costume XF-17. George also wears a colander on his head so we had to have a colander on our robot's head as well.

DH and I decided that instead of using a cardboard box we would use a Tupperware container, so that it would be more durable. My DH was kind enough to make all the holes and spray paint the Tupperware. The hole for his head was a bit big, so I used some left-over batting to make the hole a little bit smaller and it also provided additional padding on his shoulders. I wrapped the batting in duck tape so it would be the same color and the Tupperware. We used dryer vents for the selves. For the front we decorated a pie tin (idea from Family Fun) and added a reflector light.
My Little Artist
I didn't know what to dress up Son #2 as for Halloween. I remembered that when his brother was that age we dressed him up as a chef, because he loved to pretend to cook. I thought of what Son #2 loves the most and that would have to be art time at school, so he was an artist for Halloween.
His pants are just little black drawstring pants that I quickly made. His shirt is a 90-minute shirt following the pattern on MADE. I love making these shirts, I think the boys look so cute in them.
His beret was pretty simple to make. And I was able to use the same material as the pants. It was a little snug, but it fit.

Halloween Quilt
I started this quilt six years ago. Six years ago I made all the squares, but it wasn't until this year that I actually pieced the quilt together. I don't know why it took me so long to finish, it may have something to do with the two little boys in my life. Anyway it's done and I love it.
Here is a close up on the squares. I found this pattern years ago and thought it was such a wacky project. It was actually my DH's idea that it would be the perfect pattern for a Halloween quilt.
I love all the material that I used and I have enough for one extra project. I just can't decide if I want to make a table runner or a fabric penndant for the fireplace.

The other cool thing is that one night after turning out the lights I noticed that the candy corn fabric glows in the dark. I was so surprised. Then again . . . I guess I am allowed to forget some things after six years.

Halloween Wreath
This project took several days, but was worth it. I love the way it turned out. This idea was from Tatertots and Jello.
Here it is hanging on the door.
I bought twelve different types at ribbon. And then cut them 4.5 inches and made loops. Now the directions from the websit show that you sew the ribbons to make loops, but I just hot glued the loops and they seem to have turned out fine. Then I hot glued the individual loops to the wreath. Here's a close up of the ribbons. I love all the different colors and patterns.

Super Saturday Craft
This is the craft that I will be teaching at Super Saturday or Fabulous Friday. These are great as keepsakes. I even thought that if you didn't want to use these as necklaces you could just use a shorter ribbon and hang them on your tree as a Christmas Ornament.
Sorry that the pictures are a bit blurry, but you get the idea.
